INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 29, 2008
Interactive Intelligence (Nasdaq: ININ), a global provider of unified IP business communications solutions, has been re-certified to ISO 9001:2000, marking its third consecutive year of compliance.
The ISO 9001:2000 standard, published by the International Organization for Standardization, is an international reference for quality management requirements and continuous improvement of business-to-business interactions. The ISO 9001:2000 standard provides a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach to managing an organization's processes so that it consistently turns out products and services that satisfy customer expectations.
"Being certified to ISO 9001:2000 gives further assurance to customers and partners that we are able to satisfy their most stringent quality, reliability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness requirements," said Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Dr. Donald E. Brown. "Particularly for large enterprises, as well as those representing regulatory-driven industries, such as government, financial services and healthcare, our certification gives these customers added assurance that we can meet their highest standards."
Interactive Intelligence first achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in December 2004 by completing a registration audit conducted by QMI, the largest management system registrar in North America. To maintain certification, the company has undergone semi-annual audits, and in December 2007, underwent a full audit to achieve its three-year ISO 9001:2000 certificate of registration, now good through Dec. 13, 2010.
"With benefits that include quicker time to market, greater market share, increased operational efficiencies, more consistent product quality, and improved customer satisfaction, the ISO 9001:2000 certification gives Interactive Intelligence a critical competitive advantage," said QMI account representative, Connie Massara.
About the ISO 9001:2000 standard
The ISO 9001:2000 standard is an international reference for quality management requirements and continuous improvement in business-to-business dealings. It is a generic standard that can be applied across all industries, regardless of the product or service delivered. The standard refers to an organization's structure for managing its processes or activities that transform inputs of resources into a product or service to meet customized objectives, such as satisfying customer quality requirements.
Companies' compliance to ISO standards are certified by third-party audit and registration organizations, such as QMI. For more information about QMI, visit http://www.qmi.com.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was established in 1947 with the mission of contributing to economic and social progress. ISO's international standards and deliverables were designed to support the following: facilitation of global trade; improvements to quality, safety and security; environmental and consumer protection, including the rational use of natural resources; and global dissemination of technologies and good practices.
The ISO is currently an association of approximately 149 national standards bodies, which each represent their own country. ISO employs a system of technical committees, sub-committees and working groups to develop international standards. For more information about ISO, visit http://www.iso.org.
